In case you wonder
Who we are
We hope to give you a glimpse of who we are here. You are always welcome to all activities that we host and we hope to get a chance to meet and get to know you there.
Our church
Welcome to Metsku, a contemporary Christian fellowship with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our community is built upon the belief that every individual is a valuable and important member of the family, and we strive to create a space where everyone can come as they are and feel at home.
We believe that life is at its best when we share it with each other and a good God who loves us. We believe in Jesus and that he is relevant to today’s people, and therefore, we want to grow together in faith in God and discover more of the good life that he offers.
Whether you are exploring your faith for the first time, seeking to deepen your relationship with God, or simply looking for a welcoming community to share life with, we invite you to come and experience Metsku for yourself. We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you better!
Staff
A church where everyone is important
We don’t believe the church is built on a few leaders. The church is all about those who gather together to worship Jesus and to follow him. Metsku is a very active church that is built on teamwork. We have about 50 volunteers who have a whole lot of fun together as we serve and strive towards the dream God has given us. These are the real heroes that we are so thankful for!
Would you like to be part of this dream and join a team? Take a look at the page Get involved, where you can learn about our teams.
Stefan Forsbäck
Pastor
Our Pastor, Stefan Forsbäck, is an ordained elder of the United Methodist Church and has been one of our leading pastors since 2012 and shouldered the Senior Pastor role in 2013. Stefan has a heart for people and seeing them thrive and grow in life and faith. He is passionate about Jesus and making him known to those who don’t go to church or know him yet.
Minéa Dahlbacka
Church worker
Minéa has worked in the church since 2020 and takes care of the church’s communication, planning and implementing events, Sunday Services, Sunday school and diaconal initiatives. Minéa has a great interest in pastoral care and wants people to be restored and healed in body, soul and spirit.
Anna Stenlund-Degby
Church worker
In 2019 Anna Stenlund-Degbey started working in Metsku. As a church worker, she will focus on working with children and families, finding ways of reaching new people, planning events and other tasks. Anna wants to see people transformed by God’s perfect love and grace, and she has a heart for the families.
